There is a big hot air balloon in the middle of town boasting of great views of Singapore which we pass everytime we drive through the city. Matthew has been asking to see this balloon everytime we get into the car. Whenever we ask if he might like to go on it for a ride, he would reply," No, it might pop...." So last night after dinner, Wei-Han and I took Matthew to the hot air balloon and bought tickets for a ride. Matthew was so excited watching the balloon ascend and descend. When our turn came, we boarded it and went up pretty high up, equivalent of 40 storeys high. I am not usually one who appreciates views from up high, but I have to admit, it was an amazing view. It was awesome to see the city and beyond, all lit up, and to wonder at all the little people who are in the buildings. It made me realise how many people they are, how small I am and how big God is to be involved in everyone's lives. The ride took 10 minutes and we trotted off to an Asian dessert store across the street and had some mango ice dessert before heading home and putting Matthew to bed. Needless to say, he was talking about the whole experience all the way home.
