These last couple of months have been characterised by good friends leaving to return to the states and our family being sick frequently.
Oh, what we would do to be well again for more than a week! We were just sick a lot and even Tina, our helper was not totally exempt, though she fared a lot better than the rest of us. However, we seemed to have company, as most of our friends and their families were either sick or recovering whenever we talked to them. I'm hoping that we've shared our mixed pot of different viruses and bacterial infections amongst us all and that there are no more new ones left!
Our close friends Gerard and Krisi Monsivaiz and their four beautiful kids moved back and it was really sad to see them go. Everytime dear friends leave, we feel as if we have a hole in our hearts. But it is great to know that they are happy and well over there and hopefully one day we will be able to catch up again. Two weeks after they left, our sweet Matthew is still asking me to invite their kids Lauren, Luke, Aaron and Avery over to play, or the latest, to have lunch with them on Sunday after church, which was our ritual.
Around that time, my good friend from Sydney, Angela paid me a visit and stayed for a couple of days. It was really wonderful to spend some time with her - a good distraction from the Monsivaiz's leaving! Since Angela had seen most tourist sites in Singapore, she was happy to hang out with me, have a dinner, high tea and she treated me to a massage. Angela, welcomed back ANYTIME!
Wei-Han continues to be super busy at work, not so much because of travel, though there is some, but more just in terms of workload. However, he remains a wonderful daddy and husband as he strives to come home early when he can to spend time with us.
